The 2024 Virgin Active Warrior Race Series came to a thrilling conclusion on Saturday, 28 September, at the beautiful Syringa Park, Avianto Estate in the Cradle of Humankind. With an exciting new venue and over 3,000 Warriors in attendance, Virgin Active Warrior #4 proved the biggest showdown of the year, marking a perfect finale to the Warrior calendar!
The course design at Syringa Park delivered the ultimate challenge, featuring a gauntlet of signature Warrior obstacles designed to test Warriors mentally and physically. From the adrenaline-pumping Mamba to the epic Mud Monster, every corner of the course demanded skill, strategy, strength and teamwork. For many, it wasn’t just about conquering the course but about pushing beyond limits and fears.
The highlight of the day was, as always, the Black Ops Elite division, where the best of the best battle it out for glory.
Brandon Hulley took the Black-ops Elite title with flawless execution and expert racecraft. Thomas van Tonder followed in second after taking full advantage of a crucial mistake by Louis Smit on Breaking Point, which earned him a penalty loop. Our SA champ, Tom Liebenberg, once again proved that experience matters, as he faultlessly powered through the pack to secure third place. Fantastic results that cement their status as Warrior Legends!
In the women’s race, Sabrina Daolio did it again, making it a clean sweep for the year with another flawless victory claiming first in the Women’s race and coming in 10th Overall!
An intense battle for second and third between Jodi Narramore and Cindy Wills ensued. After being away for four years, Jodi made a strong comeback despite picking up two penalties. She and Cindy met up during the penalty loops near Mamba, leading to a thrilling sprint finish with mere seconds between them! Amazing performances from these fierce women. Well done!

Off the course, the vibe at Syringa Park was festive, with family, friends, and spectators cheering on the Warriors from start to finish. The Virgin Active team had everyone hyped and moving, with pumping music and an insanely fun warm-up to get the muscles fired up! The event village buzzed as food stalls, sponsor activations, and entertainment kept the energy high!
A big shoutout to The A Team Academy Brushware, the largest corporate team on the day! They’ve earned a brand new table tennis table for their office. Take a well-deserved break from the daily hustle and enjoy a game on us!
The Virgin Active Warrior Race Series Leaderboard has come to an exhilarating conclusion, with the final results reflecting the Elite Warriors’ hard-fought efforts across four challenging events. With the best three out of four results counting toward the overall leaderboard, this year’s competition was fiercely contested.
Athletes are ranked based on their accumulated points throughout the series. Points are awarded to the top finishers in each category, with more points given to those who finish higher.
