Over 2,400 Brave Warriors Conquer Obstacles at Syringa Park!
It was mud, sweat, and pure adrenaline on Saturday, 15 March, at Warrior #1 Syringa Park! Avianto Estate hosted an epic battle of strength, courage, and determination as 2,454 fearless Warriors pushed their limits, tested their resilience, and proved their grit.
The Perfect Warrior Race Venue
Set in the heart of Gauteng, Syringa Park at Avianto Estate once again provided the ideal backdrop for the Warrior Race. With picturesque landscapes, lush lawns, and ample seating areas, it was the perfect spot for spectators and families to support their Warriors.
A Course Built for Speed and Strength
For those who took on the Rookie, Commando, and Black-Ops Elite races, the course was designed for thrill-seekers, featuring flat, fast terrain that allowed runners to push their limits and gain an edge over the competition.
The course opened with physically demanding carries, followed by smooth, quick obstacles to test speed, endurance, and agility. For many, the race was all about fun, teamwork, and making unforgettable muddy memories – from the start to the finish line!

Elite Race Highlights
Men’s Black-Ops Elite:
Brandon Hulley dominated early, building a 40-second lead over Hlelani Radebe by the 6 km mark. Both tackled Breaking Point flawlessly, with Hulley taking first place and Radebe finishing second. The battle for third place was won at Breaking Point, where Tian Basson secured his spot with a first-attempt completion.

Women’s Black-Ops Elite:
Veteran athlete Sabrina Daolio led from start to finish. At 6 km, she was just 1 minute and 40 seconds behind the men’s leader. Completing every obstacle seamlessly, she claimed first place, finishing just 13 minutes behind the men’s winner and securing 5th place overall.

The True Warriors of the Day
Beyond the podium, the true champions were the unsung Warriors who faced their fears, pushed past limits, and conquered the course – laughing, sweating, and celebrating with their teammates. Their stories of resilience and triumph embody the Warrior spirit and will inspire more challengers to join the movement.
From elite athletes pushing for victory to families and teams taking on the course together, every Warrior who crossed the finish line earned their well-deserved tag of honour. Teamwork truly was the driving force of the day, with 145 teams of 5 racing side by side. Whether competing solo or as part of a team, there was always someone there to offer a helping hand, showing that the true spirit of the race lies in collaboration and support. The power of teamwork brought out the best in everyone, proving that together, we’re all stronger.
