Entries + Registration
All entries must be done online. The entry system (Howler) For any queries on the entry process, please follow this link.
Unless otherwise stated on the event page, we will NOT accept entries or payment for entries on race day, except for the Warrior Kids Race. The Warrior Kids Race can be entered and paid for on race day at the Kiddies registration gazebo (separate to main registration).
You can do the substitution on Howler.
Timing Chips
You can purchase the Warrior timing chip at Participant Registration on race day for R60 cash.
The Warrior Race will be timed using the blue/pink/yellow timing armbands from Warrior chip. Racetec, Champion Chip and other timing devices will not work.
GENERAL QUERIES
Yes, you can still enter if you don’t have medical aid.
- Please note these are not set in stone. Batch times will either be earlier or later depending on the size of the field of athletes,
- If no earlier start time is available, the earlier batches are already full.
- Batches are capped to avoid bottlenecks on the route.
- Please be at registration at least 1 hour before your batch starts.
Participants may skip an obstacle if they feel that they cannot do it/don’t want to do it. There is a burpee penalty for skipping an obstacle.
Live race results can be found at www.warrior.co.za/results. Results will also be on the Warrior website after the event.
Official media images will be loaded on our Warrior Facebook page. Athlete photos and finisher photos are taken by BeSnapped, and can be purchased on their website.
- After you have paid the entry, you will receive an email from Howler to register your ticket. Please ensure you register your details. You will not be able to partake if your entry is unregistered
- You will receive your batch and start time info mailer on the Wednesday before the event,
- Race Day Registration: Register at least 1 hour before the start of your batch.
- Please bring your timing chip to registration to test and allocate. If you do not have one, please bring R60 to buy one.
Rookie ELITE, Commando ELITE and Black-Ops ELITE are the Solo Elite, competitive batches in which participants race to win. All obstacles have to be completed in order to not be disqualified.
There is only one start batch for each of these races.
When a Solo ELITE athlete loses his DQ band (disqualification armband), he/she may finish the race as a Solo competitor and will not be in the running for the win any longer. Solo athletes are not necessarily ELITE athletes and are only taking part for fun.
RACE DAY QUERIES
Yes, an open-air clean-up zone will be available where you can wash off most of the mud. Men’s and Ladies dressing rooms will also be available. Please note that this is a rinse-off zone so please be considerate by not spending too much time in the showers.
*Please note that showers are not available at all Warrior Race Events.
Yes. The Spectator fee is R30 for all non-participating adults and children (Children under 3 years have free access). The Spectator pass can be purchased on race day at the entrance at the Spectator pay-point.
Gazebos will not be permitted unless you are an official exhibitor with prior permission from the Warrior Race Management. For exhibitor queries please contact jp@warrior.co.za
A secure, managed safekeeping facility will be available to participants on a first-come-first-served basis at R30. Please note that we take absolutely no responsibility for any items or belongings at the event that are not booked into the Locker Zone. You can leave your keys, wallets, cell phones and tog bags with us for safekeeping. Regrettably, children and grandparents cannot be left with us.
Beer garden with music and entertainment. A great variety of food and drink stands to cater for all tastes.
*Please note that no one is allowed to bring their own food and drinks into the venue.
The official Warrior gear will be on sale at the Warrior Gear stall. Stock is limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis.
There will be security guards in and around the race village and parking area for general security and safety. Please note that we will NOT be responsible for the security of any personal belongings and items. It will be your own responsibility to look after your personal items or alternatively book them in at our secure locker zone (see above).
Also please make sure that you don’t leave any valuables on the seats of your car or at any other clearly visible place in your car. Please hide it away in the boot or under the seats just to make sure you don’t tempt any potential “thieves”.
Team QUERIES
Teams can consist of anything between 2 – 8 members (2 minimum and 8 maximum). But you can have as many teams as you like. For example: If you have 10 people who would like to all start and race together, you can enter two teams of 5 people each.
One person can create the team and enter your friends.
- If you have more than 8 people, you will need to create two or more teams (teams can consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8).
- Make sure that you select the same starting time/batch when creating the team(s).
- Make sure that the team name is the same but add a numeral to it. For example Muddy Warriors 1 and Muddy Warriors 2.
- If you raced together in the past, we will batch you together where possible.
You can add more members at a later stage – as long as entries for the event are not sold out. Please note that teams can consist of a maximum of 8 people. But you can enter as many teams as you like.

Yes, the Warrior chip band is compulsory for all Warrior Race participants. Chips can be bought online with your entry or on the day at R60.
- Warrior Kids do NOT require a timing chip.
- The timing chip is a once-off purchase. Once you have your timing chip, you can use it at all future Warrior races.
- You can purchase it online when you enter or at registration on race day.

Charities:
Step 1: Contact info@warrior.co.za to inquire about a charity booking.
Step 2: Send through proof that you are a registered charity group.
Step 3: Buy entries (full price) and send proof of payment.
Step 4: Sell your entries and create a team.
Step 5: Share a spreadsheet with the race office and we will enter your team.
Step 6: The race office will confirm once your team is entered.
Step 7: Warrior chip bands delivered to your address.
* 1 Team leader to work with the race office team.
* R250 per stand for a charity.
