The Warrior Race is known for being bold, challenging, and unforgettable, but that doesn’t mean it’s only for elite athletes. If you’ve ever thought, “That’s not for me,” we are here to challenge that! Let’s break down some common myths that might be standing between you and one of the most empowering and enjoyable experiences of your life!

Myth #1: YOU HAVE TO BE SUPER FIT TO DO THE WARRIOR RACE

Reality check: You don’t need six-pack abs to be a Warrior. The race is designed for everybody, not just a specific body. It doesn’t matter what your fitness level is. The focus is on finishing, not finishing first. It’s about grit, not speed. If you are wondering which race level to choose, check out this decision tree to determine your next race.

MYTH #2: IT'S A SOLO MISSION

Reality Check: The Warrior Race is all about team effort and camaraderie. You’ll see strangers helping strangers, friends boosting each other over walls, and families crossing the finish line hand-in-hand. It’s one of the few races where support is built into the course.

Myth #3: It’s Just a Muddy Obstacle Course

Reality Check: Sure, there’s mud, but there’s also strategy, strength, resilience, and personal growth. The Warrior Race challenges you physically and mentally, but it’s also incredibly fun. Think of it as a day of play with a serious sense of achievement.

Myth #4: It’s Not for Women, Kids, or Older Adults

Reality Check: The Warrior Race is for everyone. There are family-friendly categories like the Rookie Race, women-led teams with inspiring stories of people of all ages and backgrounds showing up and smashing it. Whether you’re 16 or 60, there’s a race for you. The only requirement? Willingness to unleash your wild side and embrace the mud under your fingernails.

Myth #5: You Have to Know What You’re Doing

Reality Check: You’ll learn as you go. There’s no judgment, only progress. Marshels and fellow racers are always nearby to guide you through obstacles. Plus, there’s no shame in skipping one. It’s your race at your pace. FYI: If you decide to skip an obstacle, you will have to do burpees to keep the challenge going!

What Being a Warrior Means

The Warrior Race isn’t about perfection; it’s about pushing past your limits and facing your fears. It’s about trying something new and discovering the warrior within you, and beyond all the physically fun stuff, it’s a wonderful day out having fun! The only thing you need to start… is to start.
